Career

Three Decades in the Field.

  1. 1990 – 2018 · 28 years

    Prince → Johnson Controls → Yanfeng

    My career started at a global automotive Tier 1 supplier that became Johnson Controls, then Yanfeng. I worked as a design engineer on plastic injection molded components — one project earned me a design patent for a hidden hinge mechanism — then moved into CNC programming in the prototype department, producing accurate models for prototype builds and engineering feasibility studies. I served as an ENOVIA VPM architect, and finally led Knowledgeware teams across India, Slovakia, China, and the US, delivering design automation and templates to 1,000 engineers globally.

  2. 2018 – 2020

    Dassault Systèmes — Perth, Australia

    I moved to Perth to work directly for Dassault Systèmes as solution architect on an open-pit mining project with one of Australia's leading mining companies. We used CATIA and 3DEXPERIENCE to take point cloud data and convert it into geometry, then built the road systems needed to move vehicles through the mine during construction and operation.

  3. 2020 – 2021

    Miami Dade College & PHI Cubed — Al Bahr Towers case study

    With Hector Camps, I built a demonstration of the Al Bahr Towers: a case study in dynamic kinetic facades. The geometry combined automation written in EKL, VBA, and Design Templates into a functioning dynamic facade — panels that open and close through the day and across seasons to optimize sunlight and minimize thermal load from the Abu Dhabi sun.

  4. KREOD — United Kingdom

    With Chun Qing Li, I delivered two design and engineering automation projects. The first: a residential facade application built on Dassault Systèmes Know How Apps, integrated directly into the CATIA interface as if native — a hook system, rails on the building structure with panels hooking on, panel size and spacing optimized for maximum component reuse, output as a ready-to-manufacture 2D and 3D data set. The second: a light gauge steel framing automation project, also built with Know How Apps.

  5. Lendlease — Sydney

    At Lendlease Digital, I automated the process of building digital twins for mass timber buildings — taking a project from quoting phase to manufacturing-ready 2D and 3D data sets. As the work matured, scope broadened to engineering data management supporting the product development team's timber connections and modular solutions, with 3DEXPERIENCE providing collaboration, a single source of truth, and data governance.

  6. 2024 – current · 2 years

    Facade engineering & manufacture (client withheld)

    Led facade engineering and manufacture for a facade manufacturer in Europe. Built the automation framework that lets engineers execute time-saving processes with best practice for product engineering and manufacturing embedded in them — faster, better-quality engineering throughput, and easier onboarding for new engineers.

  7. 2024 – current

    Mass Timber Structure — AI-Powered

    I'm building an AI-driven automation framework that takes an approved engineering spec straight through to manufacturing, along with the AI tools and agents that run inside it: an automated design-to-build pipeline for mass timber construction, IFC/BIM data reconciliation for CATIA automation, and PLM process automation at scale. It's one current engagement showcasing how far AI can go inside 3DEXPERIENCE and CATIA in a collaborative environment — not the boundary of what myAImfg does.
